Some users of the plugin “I Like This” asked me how to custom the style. So, here’s a little tutorial to do what they generally want.
First, you have to know that the file used for styling the plugin is /wp-content/plugins/i-like-this/css/i-like-this.css. If you make any modification in this file, be careful about the updates! Don’t do an auto-update via the administration, your file will be erased! Backup this file and upload next updates manually (without replacing it, of course).
Instead, you should keep this file unmodified and add the following properties in the style.css of your template.
Last week, a reader reminded me I didn’t submit our themes on WordPress.org. After five revisions (they’re very careful and they’re right), here is Smooth 1.0.4.1 on WordPress free themes directory. Vermillon isn’t available there now but it should be in some days. I also decided to change the download links to the official repository, it would be less confusing.
About these updates, WordPress asked me to do some changes. The most important is about the license. I didn’t know that they use the GPL version 2, consequently I decided to downgrade the license we use to the same version to be fully compliant. The terms of use have been updated too.
After 3 month of work, I believe that we are ready to officially launch this project! Yeah! My Tapestry is one of my personal project I do just for fun but this one is a little bit special. All is written in English and that’s a big goal for me. I don’t want to lie, my English is bad basic but it’s easier to share with the whole world in English rather than French. So don’t hesitate to tell me if I say something… odd.
I thought about My Tapestry after releasing my first WordPress plugin: I Like This. This one have been well appreciated and it motivated me to go further. I also wanted to enter the community of WordPress themes distributors although there’s a lot of them already available.
